Today I finally finished cleaning and preparing the front end of the chassis and suspension, and got a coat of primer on, from the front of the body forwards.
All the coolant pipes are now cleaned and painted ready to go back on - all the hose clips need replaced, and then the engine is good to go.
The back end of the chassis up to the rear wheels also got its first coat of primer, so it feels like the thing is getting somewhere - the cleaning was beginning to get to me.
The new cab has been removed from its stand and is sitting on a trailer, ready to bring over - getting it off the trailer and onto the lorry will be a performance but I'm sure we'll work it out.
