Hooray, Hoppi the hen has unblocked!
Hooray! Having been egg bound since her arrival, and with a sore leg to boot, poor old Hoppi was looking very sorry for herself. Hence she has been holed up in a box in the kitchen, to escape bullying by the other hens and to give her a chance to unblock. Whether it was the threat of having olive oil introduced into her nether regions, or whether it was the quiet and warmth of the kitchen, we will never know, but the main thing is that she has finally laid an egg, and is looking a whole lot happier for it.

That's brilliant news, bless her. What a relief. Am sure the warmth of your kitchen helped, they say to hold at safe distance over steam to help release too...but not too close. Glad Hoppi is happy now
